David Lorne Brouse was a son of James Carleton Brouse and Mary Elizabeth Brouse of Iroquois, Ontario, Canada.
Brouse was a member of the crew of Stirling LJ-829. On 20 september it left Fairford Airfield on a resupply mission. At about 1440 hrs the plane crashed in woods in Doorwerth, between Van der Molenallee and W.A. Scholtenlaan. It was probably hit by Flak. There were no survivors and the dead were buried near the aircraft. They were buried by Germans who probably thought it was an American plane because on most of the crosses they had written 'Amerikanische Flieger beerdigt am 6-12-1944'.
