- Robert Boott was a son of Percy and Hannah Boott of Manchester. He
was married to Dorothy Boott of Moston, Manchester.
- Boott served with Support Company.
- According to the Roll of Honour published by the Society of Friends
of the Airborne Museum (Jan Hey 1999 and 2011) the body of Robert Boott
was found near the northern bank of the river Rhine, close to the
village of Renkum, on 4 july 1945. He was buried at the spot, together
with Driver Richard Walker. The place of recovery points to a different
Date of Death: 25/26 september 1944, for Boott was probably killed or
drowned on the night of the withdrawal.
