George Minto Blundell was a son of George Walmsley Blundell and Ethel M. Blundell of Aughton, Ormskirk, Lancashire.
He served as an intelligence officer.
According to the Roll of Honour published by the Society of Friends of the Airborne Museum (Jan Hey 1999 and 2011) Blundell was given a field burial in a mass grave in a wood near the Sonnenberg estate, south of the small cemetery. He was buried together with Harold L. Kirkham, Alfred Guthrie, Francis Dolaghan, Bernard Haikin, William Dowsett, George Drake, John McGlone, Allan Thomson, Reginald Badger and Michael Page.
