- According to the Roll of Honour published by the Society of Friends
of the Airborne Museum (Jan Hey 1999) Banas was killed on the north bank
of the Rhine on the night of 25/26 september. He was given a field
burial near Bronbeek, at the Velperweg in Arnhem. In the 2011 edition of
the Roll of Honour the location of the field burial is changed to the
Hemelse Berg estate.
